DON CESAR

One of the goals of The Panamei Journey is to meet and cook with people like Don Cesar, who are just as passionate about food as we are.

During our first trip on The Panamei Journey to Chiapas, Mexico, we met a local chef named Don Cesar Aceves, who took us to the fresh market and prepared two new Tilapia recipes for us.

PATRICIA MESTRE

Patricia Mestre's Gambero Saltato (Sautéed Shrimp)

An Italian-raised Cuban Sous Chef and a Food Stylist, Patty has quite a personality in the kitchen and certainly kept us entertained. Patty likes to bring the heat… with Chilis, Tequila & Fire.

FABRIZIO GROSSI

Join our Inspired Chef, Fabrizio Grossi, onboard the Catamaran Maita’i in the Bahamas, as he talks food, travel, and life, while sharing an inspired way to prepare grouper.

Watch as Fabrizio pan frys, then bakes a grouper fillet with lime, tomatoes, potatoes, olives, chillies, capers, and anchovies.

LUIS GARCIA

Luis Garcia is one of two brothers who own and operate Garcia’s Seafood Grille, a 2nd generation, family-owned seafood restaurant located on the Miami River in the heart of Miami’s ever-growing metropolitan area. Rich in history and tradition, Garcia’s is well known and highly regarded as one of the staple seafood restaurants in Miami and is known for its cozy, yet energetic atmosphere, its fresh menu, and its fish market. Stay tuned as we bring The Panamei Journey into Garcia’s very own kitchen.

Watch as Luis prepares one of Garcia’s signature dishes, a yellowtail fillet in cilantro sauce, while talking about family, food, and our duty to protect the ocean.

ANGEL LEON

The Panamei Journey has taken us back to the Miami River waterfront and into the kitchen of Miami’s Seaspice Restaurant.

Join Angel Leon, the restaurant’s French-trained Executive Chef, as he shares his philosophy of simple technique and quality ingredients, while preparing a classical seafood casserole. Stay tuned for the full piece, coming soon!
